Since BRI first opened it’s doors we have been providing exceptional consulting services backed by 4 generations of experience. The major focus of BRI has been chip quality, wood chip and by-products utilization, low grade fiber utilization, and chipper maintenance services throughout North America to all levels of producers (Domestic and International Paper Companies, contract chip mills, and sawmills).

Biomass Resources, Inc., has been extremely successful in developing and implementing chip quality programs for the pulp and paper industry. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of a workable chip specification, onsite chip quality audits, outsourcing chip testing/monitoring programs, chipper upgrade/re-builds, chipper maintenance training, chip quality seminars, and chip quality sustainability programs. In addition a very successful seminar and conference program has been made available to the industry throughout North America and Canada.

Biomass Resources Inc., utilizes a four step process: MACS (Measure, Analyze, Corrective Action, and Sustainability); combined with a patented data management program, CHIP MACS, in which Chip Quality is analyzed within our system by performing a series of algorithm calculations and representing data to produce robust trend reports. The pulp mills and suppliers are provided with up to date and accurate information regarding the quality of their materials as well as a check list provided by BRI of corrective actions in order to increase their production and quality. The user simply inputs their data and our system provides all of the necessary functionality. CHIP MACS is accessible via the web, meaning it is capable of reaching any mill or supplier with internet connectivity, 24 hours a day. Thus, giving the user total access to their data and recommendations so they can make adjustments within their process when it is timely for them.
